Introduction Of Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a sideways curvature, which often begins in adolescence. While many possible causes can lead to the onset of childhood scoliosis, it mostly happens without any clear reason. Scoliosis is usually a mild case, but a significant curve can be disabling as well. Severe scoliosis can get progressively worse with growth and make it difficult for the lungs to function properly.
Traditional Method
X Ray
The X-ray is often used to measure scoliosis. However, many parents are worried that it has the potential to hurt their child with long term exposure. The X-Ray may have up to 40 or 50 exposures during the ongoing treatment period.
Scoliometer
Scoliometer has been proven to be both reproducible and repeatable with noninvasive. However, unreliable events like instrument placement and bending levels can affect the data it collects.
The Solution
Scoltech was design to be noninvasive and no side effect with scoliosis diagnosis. Scoltech simplify the process of scoliosis diagnosis. It can be used to measure the degree of curvature in a patient's spine with accuracy up to 0.01mm and short measurement time, making it more comfortable and accurate reading for the patient than traditional measuring device.
3 in 1 Measurement
Instant diagnosis without the need to swap measuring devices
High Accuracy
Able to record changes up to 1mm with Lock In technology to avoid motion error
